2 WELCOME NOTE Dear colleagues, It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 13 th Annual Congress of the Lebanese Society of Dermatology. We are fortunate again to have world-class scientists and practitioners join some of our best local speakers to provide a unique educational program this year, and we are expecting a record attendance from Lebanon, the Middle East and North Africa. The emphasis of this year s edition is procedural dermatology, and we are thrilled to have some of the pioneers in dermatology that have helped advance laser and skin, hair and nail surgery among us. This year we will be honoring Dr Sélim Aractingi for his valuable contribution to the world of dermatology, and for being a most prolific teacher at our congresses year after year. We are also looking forward to the round table on the role and dangers of media in dermatology. I would like to thank Dr Zeina Tannous, co-chair of this congress, and the Trust & Traders team, who contributed to the tremendous work it takes to organize this meeting, all the speakers and sessions moderators for their precious contributions, the attending members for their active participation, and the exhibiting companies, our partners in the delivery of high quality skin care, for their continuing support of our dermatologic community.
